Cabin Fever

This is the 4th "snow day" we've had and think everyone is getting a little "cabin fever" from being stuck at home. Lee & Ri dug Lee's car out Wednesday evening, about the time a truck came by to scrape our street...1 scrape and he was gone! Didn't even look like he did anything with 4 inches of ice under the snow he shoveled to the sides of the street, but Lee was able to get out to go to work the next day so that's all that matters.
We dug Ri's car out yesterday so he could go hang out with a friend a couple of miles up the main road, and today I ran out of a couple of things, so Ri dug my van out so we could all make a run into town. We went out to Barnes & Noble so the kids could buy themselves some books, then over to Best Buy to see about a game, and see if by chance they had Wii Fit in, but no luck!
We've all enjoyed the snow. The kids went sledding several times in the past few days, even Lee & I went with them as you can see in the photo above :) we had fun, but were kind of sore the next morning. I've never been sledding...We were 2 hours away from any snow in California growing up, so never had the opportunity to go sledding.
I've not really accomplished much except a little cleaning here and there, some random loads of laundry, put my "Snowmen" decorations away, and trying to get my FRoom put back together. We had to replace a corner of the back wall and it finally got done, sanded and painted and everything put back together! YAY! Tomorrow we are supposed to have our couch back from being repaired and a new piece of carpet for the FRoom. I have also been on the computer alot, found some more "old friends" from home! so exciting! I can't wait to get on every day to see what kind of message I get from my friends and hear about the past 20+ yrs. So, I have enjoyed my time off but am ready to go back to work, cuz my pay check isn't going to look very good next month :( so will be making it up next month.

Lee came home today and said that his supervisor asked him if he still wanted to work for them, because they were having some big meeting Monday morning and the "SUIT" and the owners to talk about hiring Lee on! YAAYY!!!!!!!
Cross your fingers and toes and say some prayers that he will get hired on permanent!! He will only be making $2 an hr more than he is now (still $3 less than his last job) but for now, with the way jobs are right now we can't complain. We've been waiting for him to become permanent since last November, and we heard 2 different reasons why, but didn't ask too many questions, so we just prayed for the best. He loves his job now and the people he works with are so much different than before, so he comes home with a totally different attitude. So, hopefully we will know Monday after the meeting :)
Oh yeah and we have a "Professional Development" day, so we will be out of school on Monday also! which means we won't be going back to school till Tuesday!
Well, it's giving me plenty of time to do some cleaning of things I don't get to but once in.....well a while....he he.....so better get back to work! TTFN
